PACKAGING INFORMATION

1. Aluminum Cans

Common Sizes:

  • 250 mL Slim – popular for energy drinks, sparkling water

  • 330 mL Standard – soft drinks, beer, flavored sparkling beverages

  • 500 mL Tall – energy drinks, beer, larger serving beverages

Advantages:

  • Lightweight, fully recyclable

  • Blocks light and oxygen → preserves taste & nutrients

  • Excellent for carbonation retention

Considerations:

  • Requires canning line with seamers

  • Inside lacquer coating to prevent beverage-to-metal interaction (especially for acidic drinks)

  • Transport-friendly but prone to denting if mishandled

  • For acidic/energy drinks: epoxy or BPA-NI (Bisphenol A–non-intent) coatings

Decoration Options:

  • Printed cans (direct lithography)

  • Shrink sleeve labels

  • Pressure-sensitive labels (short runs)


2. PET Bottles

Common Sizes for Beverages:

  • 250 mL – juices, functional shots, premium water

  • 500 mL – water, iced tea, sports drinks

  • 1L–2L – family-size water and carbonated beverages

Advantages:

  • Lightweight, shatter-resistant, lower transport cost

  • Can be transparent or tinted

  • Suitable for both still and carbonated drinks

Considerations:

  • Oxygen barrier PET or coatings needed for oxygen-sensitive products

  • Not as premium-looking as glass

  • Susceptible to heat deformation — avoid high-temp storage

Decoration Options:

  • Shrink sleeves for full 360° branding

  • Pressure-sensitive labels

  • In-mold labeling (IML) for high-end look


3. Glass Bottles

Common Sizes:

  • 250 mL – premium juices, mixers, kombucha

  • 330 mL – craft sodas, beer, iced teas

  • 500 mL – premium still water, juices

Advantages:

  • Premium look and feel

  • 100% recyclable without quality loss

  • Excellent oxygen and CO₂ barrier

  • Retains flavor integrity without inner coatings

Considerations:

  • Heavier, higher transport costs

  • Breakage risk

  • Requires crown caps, twist-off caps, or swing tops depending on application

  • Needs pasteurization or hot-fill compatibility (depending on product)

Decoration Options:

  • Paper or synthetic labels

  • Direct screen printing on glass

  • Shrink sleeves for full-body design
